A Tradition of Excellence.
The Hollister School District is dedicated to fostering student success, preparing all students for both college and career readiness. Through strategic planning and foresight, our district has created a unified educational experience for students from birth through graduation, all within one centralized location. This unique structure allows students to live, study, and grow together, building a community of lifelong learners.
We believe in the power of student engagement, community partnerships, and ongoing professional learning. Our vision is to prepare all students for their future by creating an environment where success is not just possible but inevitable. "All students will succeed, as success is our only option.”
Our Vision
Prepare all students for their futures.
Our Mission
We are a school district with an unrelenting focus on learning. "All students will succeed, as success is our only option."
Our History
The history of the Hollister R-V School District dates back to 1913 when the original Hollister Elementary School was built high on a hilltop on the east side of Turkey Creek. The frame schoolhouse offered classes up to the eighth grade, and its first teacher was Nina Wilkerson, who came from Springfield, Missouri. In its early years, students could cross Turkey Creek via a newly constructed swinging bridge and steel bridge (built in 1912) to reach the school.
Our Community
Hollister is a special place. It is a community in which the school, the city, the chamber, and other organizations truly work together for the benefit of all. It is a place where people put community above themselves.
Hollister is a great place to work, a great place to live, and a great place to raise a family!
